Ancient Greek Monsters

And Ancient Greek Myths and Legends

Ancient Greek Monster Hydra

There seems to be a fascination surrounding ancient Greek monsters in the ancient world or at least of the unknown. A common theme among these monsters is that they are related to an ancient Greek god and usually one associated with water or the sea. These creatures are powerful, grotesque and something to be feared. Without these unusual beings the ancient Greek myths and legends of how brave Greek heroes were born would never have come to be.

In these pages I will tell you about the most well known monsters and the Greek heroes associated with them in the ancientgreece world, their origins, and the myths they are associated with. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me.
